Allograft
noun: the transplantation of an organ or tissue from one person, usually cadaveric, to another of the same species.
Providing Allograft Tissues
LifeNet, established since 1982, is the nation’s largest non-profit, full service tissue bank and OPO. As a tissue bank, LifeNet provides a wide range of allografts and cardiovascular
tissue, distributing more than 200,000 allografts every year to transplant surgeons around the world.
Tissue Safety Record
For more than a decade, over 1.5 million allografts have been delivered to the industry and no incidence of disease transmission has been directly linked to tissue screened and processed
by LifeNet.
Allograft Tissue Portfolio
LifeNet provides high quality human allograft tissue for all surgical specialties. By making the finest quality allografts easily accessible, we continue to provide exemplary service to
clinicians and hospitals. As a dedicated tissue bank, we help support our partners’ donation process, directing allografts back to the hospitals and communities from whence they
came. Our full line of allografts maximizes the precious gift of donated tissue and provides surgeons with the safest allografts they need to improve the lives of patients.
Allograft Safety
LifeNet’s validated and patented Allowash® and Allowash XG® technologies provide an intensive decontamination, disinfection and scrubbing regimen designed to remove and
inactivate viruses and bacteria. The Allowash process removes virtually all of the cellular elements of bone, thereby providing an additional line of defense against emerging infectious
diseases.
With the introduction of Allowash in 1995, LifeNet pioneered an innovation in allograft cleaning and disinfection. Today, Allowash XG extends this technological leadership and continues to assure you of allograft sterility. By removing microorganisms through a controlled system, LifeNet's proprietary comprehensive and validated process provides an extra level of assurance by controlling incoming bioburden and terminally sterilizing allograft tissue. Based on a modified ISO/AAMI Method 2B Protocol Sterilization Validation Study (modified ISO/AAMI Method 1 Protocol for all soak and intercalary grafts), LifeNet has validated sterility of its allograft tissue to the Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10-6. The Allowash XG process provides for an additional level of safety and confidence. Processes that solely rely on aseptic processing and/or irradiation do not necessarily remove cellular and humeral elements. In contrast, Allowash XG renders tissue sterile without compromising the biomechanical or biochemical properties of allograft tissue intended for their surgical applications. That's sterility without compromise, from the provider that gives you allograft access with confidence. Ordering LifeNet Allograft Tissue
